At the bottom of this page is a picture of what I looked like in 1979 when Hewlett Packard published a magazine called "The Hewlett Packard Personal Calculator Digest" I bought nearly everything in this picture... The picture was on the back cover of "HP Digest" Volume Two 1977...

HP gave me my "nickname" and untill now that is what I did to my little giants... I programmed them in an enviornment where nuclear power was the topic.

The History or Story Behind My HP stuff for sale WebSite at this URL: HTTP://hp41cx.freeservers.com/about.html

At this date: "Columbus Day," Monday, October 9, 2006. I am not able to seperate and sell things one at a time...

This article or ad speaks to both my reason for selling, and I hope it answers questions regarding the isolation of certain items.

I do not have the time or the inclination to seperate and sell everything one or two items at a time. I have been trying to sell these items for about six years.

If you are a serious "collector" with a sincere desire to own something on this list please feel free to make me a truely serious offer for everything...

I'm sorry but I can not just give these things away for nickles 'n' dimes, one piece at a time...

The hands of time are spinning on my life's clock, and If you are genuinely interested in acquiring any of this edp equipment (Hardware, software, firmware, hard copy, and interfacing & etc...) This would be a terrific time to make a serious offer... I'm in my sixth year of a pretty intense fight with cancer, and it seems to be getting worse...

Everything that I own works perfectly. If it did'nt, I would not consider selling it. I'd throw it away, and be done with it...

Everything that I own that is HP has virtually every application manual that HP published. I have ALL of the HP manuals for All of the HP products that I am selling and more...

I'd like very much to trade everything HP that I own for a good toughbook, or PowerBOOK computer.... That would be a reasonably desirable substitute / replacement / compensation for my HP "collection."

I have a colossal stack of HP boxes upstairs (Not in the attic.) that I believe may be of considerable value with nothing in them at all! They've been there undisturbed for more than 22 years where they have never seen the light of day... (UV damage, crushing weight of other stuff and etc...)

I would like to sell or trade ASAP. I prefer selling all of these items as a package deal. I tried to sell them about five years ago, and again in February two years ago, and I was unable to find anyone "seriously" interested in buying any of the electronic calculators, software, firmware, and peripherals... ALL of which works.

I'm 64+ years old and my health is still a very serious problem. I live alone with cancer and I have no "heirs" to my worldly belongings who might know anything at all about the HP devices I have listed here. I believe that if I cannot dispose of this equipment very soon. My heirs-at-large may cause everything I own to become yard sale junk, an auction, or a donation to the local "Goodwill" store, or worse... These things may just be regarded by my neices and nephews as old junk plastic stuff, and it's possible that they will just toss everything into a circular file!

I have turned down a cash offer of $1,600.00.

These are highly regarded and collectable "bread 'n' butter" tools that are approaching antiquity.

If you see anything listed here that you may be interested in please be aware that I cannot seperate this HP stuff... I don't have the time...

Consider the HP-71B and how mine relates to my HP-41CX

The HP-41CX, and the HP-71B can be connected together via the HP-IL. In fact they have been "interfaced" and they have "co-processed" both numeric, and alpha datum...

I used the HP71 at my VFW post home for a season as I was the guy who recorded the minutes of the official fraternal meetings... (The secretary.)

In 1983 I was also the quarter master, and the treasurer of the post where I ran a two million dollars a year alcholic beverage ("On premises consumption.) business, and both the calculator and the computer were among the tools I employed to handle the academic issues. (Recievables, Payables, Taxes, Invintory, Payrolls, and etc...)

HP-IL Options:

By plugging in an HP-IL module, the HP-71B could be connected to multiple devices simultaneously. This allowed it to control and communicate with lab devices, The HP-41CX, tape drives, printers, other computers etc...

I have the following "Optional Software Pacs:" or "Application PACs." (Modules.)

Surveying

Text Editor

Forth/Assembler

HP-41/HP-71 Translator

and I have the following "Optional Hardware" (Peripherals) for the HP-71B.

HP-IL adaptor 82401A

My HP-IL options includes:

Digital cassette drive 82161A

Disc drive 9114A

Thermal printer/plotter 82162A

Thinkjet printer 2225B

Video Interface 82163A (2239A26641)

Six Cables include: four 1m. lengths, & two 5m lengths.

Another reason why I do NOT wish to sell these HP products seperately is because the HP-41, and the HP-71 shared the perhiperals...

Because the HP-41, & the HP-71 "Shared" peripherals, I believe seperating them lessens their value...
